And for those whom are concerned about birds and bats, there is A LOT more birds killed by cars and windows than ANY wind turbine will ever kill. So you shouldn’t be driving! That would save the birds, CO2, trees, energy, and Earth… so please, quit driving!Take that for a concern… and hey… dont believe everything you think!
HEY Please don’t be an ass towards people who try to make a good difference in the world!This is still WAY better than the fuels we use today! EVEN IF what you said about cars was true, why ad to the problem?! Besides cats kill more birds than anything else! Some places in the world it is unlawfull to let them outside because of the decimated songbird poulations they have ruined! So should people kill thier cats b4 we can do turbines?!Don’t be a stupid asstard and don’t kill animals needlessly!!
There’s information in this video that is not true. There are not too many advantages ln VAWTs. Two facts right off the bet: 1.VATs are close to the ground get turbulence winds created from trees, houses and anything else close to ground .2. A VAWT, different than a HAWT, has only one face of the blade windward ‘missing’ a lot of power from the wind. HAWT has all blades at all times facing the wind… and that means more power. What’s the generated power of this squireel cage? 3W?
Yes but in turbulant winds a HAWT has to change directions. VAWTs do not. That means that if the wind changes suddenly, the windmill does not stop. We have a large (going on to 200+) windfarm of the big 1.6megawat turbines. The have to stop and turn several times a day, and they do not just start back up quickly. If they were VAWTs, they would not stop.
